BLUE FORESTS WEEK 2022
NOV. 29 - DEC. 1
The Norwegian Blue Forests Network invites you to the 3rd Annual Blue Forests Week
We are facing a triple planetary crisis: climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. Blue forests help to address this crisis by capturing and sequestering carbon, nurturing marine biodiversity, improving water quality, and shielding coastal communities from erosion, storms, and flooding. Yet globally these ecosystems are declining at an alarming rate.
During Blue Forests Week 2022, we will examine current efforts to manage these ecosystems: what has worked, what hasn’t worked, and how can we best scale up efforts to protect and restore blue forests?
Blue Forest Week 2022 will begin with two online webinars on November 29th and 30th and will conclude with a hybrid seminar in Oslo on December 1st.
Participation is free and open to all. Please see below for the programme details of each event, as well as recordings and information from previous Blue Forests Weeks.
